About

Two years backstage.

Long enough to understand that the problem with an event is never the day itself. It is the six weeks before.

The get-in almost always goes fine. People know their job, the suppliers do their work, the venue is ready on time. What goes wrong is elsewhere.

The production manager digging through his mailbox for the quote he approved last week. The producer with a budget spreadsheet she no longer trusts — someone edited it, but who. Last year's perfect supplier, whose name nobody can find any more because the person who knew it has moved on.

We talked about it with organisers, between two get-ins. Always the same answer: “It is all in my head anyway.” Said with pride, often. With tiredness behind it, always.

That is when we decided we had something to contribute.

There are two of us. We do not do the same thing.

  • Pierre

The data, and putting it in order

He looks at a production spreadsheet and sees straight away what should be linked to what. He is the one who drew the model: a supplier, an event, a document, and the links between the three. Everything else follows from it.

  • Alexis

The experience, and how it feels to use

His obsession: that you never have to think about where to click. A production tool that needs training ends up next to a spreadsheet. He is the one who cuts features when they complicate more than they help.

What we believe

  1. A tool that needs training has already lost.

Event teams do not have three days to spend on software. If it is not clear in five minutes, the spreadsheet wins. Every time.

  2. Your supplier database is yours.

It is years of work, sometimes a whole career. It exports in one click, in a format anyone can read. If you leave, you leave with it.

  3. We would rather say what is missing.

What Squena does not do is written plainly, along with what will change and what will not. You know before you create your workspace, not after.

Where we actually are

We could show logos and impressive figures. It would be false, and you would find out on the first call.

The truth: Squena has no customers yet. We are finishing the tool and looking for the first teams willing to use it for real, and to tell us what is wrong. What you see works — but it has not yet been tested by a festival three weeks from opening.

That is why we document everything from the start. If you arrive now, you are not getting a finished product — you are taking a place in what it becomes.

Every bit of help counts.

Whether you become a user, tell us why it would not work where you are, or put us in touch with someone — at this stage, all of it matters.
